Le Deux

Cette pièce musicale tire ses origines de l’accompagnement musical que j’ai créé pour Danièle Vallée dans sa présentation théâtrale du récit Le Deux.

Quatre heures. Je rentre chez moi. Pour m’y rendre chez ce chez-moi si chaleureux, je dois prendre l’autobus. Le Deux.

Je ne sais jamais ce qui m’attend, moi, quand j’attends l’autobus.

Je fais partie du petit troupeau de transportés en commun, piétinant tous les jours à la même heure, le même carré de trottoir jonché de mégots séchés et de gommes à mâcher durcies.

Quatre heures dix. Il arrive ce grand monstre avec sa famille de petits monstres à l’intérieur.

Le Deux. Je ne verrais pas d’inconvénient à m’y engloutir, si tous les transportés en commun étaient sages et discrets, mais je tolère mal que me soient imposées des scènes de vie souvent perturbantes, à l’heure où j’aspire à la paix.

Bus Number 2

This musical piece draws its origins from the musical accompaniment I created for Danièle Vallée in her theatrical presentation of the story Le Deux.

Four o’clock. I go home. To get to that warm home, I have to take the bus. Number 2.

I never know what to expect when I wait for the bus.

I am part of the small flock of people transported together, trampling every day at the same time, the same square of sidewalk strewn with dried cigarette butts and hardened chewing gum.

Ten past four. There comes this big monster with his family of little monsters inside.

Bus Number 2. I would not mind devouring myself to it, if all the passengers were calm and discreet, but I do not tolerate the imposition of scenes of life often disturbing to me, at the time when I aspire to peace.
